Summary:
First off I wish this book wasnt short because I personally loved it!
It was different to pick up a book that had nothing to do with the paranormal.
I loved how easy this book was to relate to.
Lizzie is my favourite shes so blunt!!
Dante sounds so yummy. I love when a guy plays hard to get and then hes a real softy towards the end of the book.

As a special gift to readers, this book contains a new, never-before-published bonus story, "The Vittra Attacks," set in the magical world of the Trylle.
My Review:
So this is my first book that touched on the whole troll thing. I thought I would like this book but I decided to give it a go since I absolutely loved the cover! YES I'm on those who judges a book by its cover I'M GUILTY!! but I can't help it.
So like I told Lisa I'm not sure how I feel about this book.
I wasn't in love with it, it was an alright read for me. It was boring in the beginning. I thought the main character was a brat! the whole mother thinking she was a monster was too dramatic for my liking and her brother controlling obsession with Wendy was just so weird!
I didn't want to bash the book entirely because there were some parts I liked.
I mean how can you not like Finn?? He was the only person to get me to keep reading it .The end the book was really interesting and appealing to me. I wanted to read more so I picked up Torn the second book in this trilogy.
Without ruining my Torn review soon to come.I'll just say I'm glad I picked up Torn because it was way better than Switched and it actually made me like this series. I'm surprised usually in a series the first book is amazing and the second book always fails in comparison but this time the second book saved this series for me and I can't wait for Ascend to come out in paper back in April.

OPPRESSION BY JESSICA THERRIEN REVIEW
I waited for what felt like years to obtain this book. The last time I remember looking so hard for a book was for the Twilight book when it first came out. That was a while ago. When I was unable to find it ZOVA books was nice enough to send me a copy so Thank You ZOVA <3
First off like I said with Goddess Interrupted I never read these kind of books and much to my surprise I love them.I got this book and read it in 5 hrs with a few interruptions of course .
As soon as I got home I jumped for about 20 min until I realized I was wasting precious time. I could have read a few pages in the 20 min where I was acting like a 16 yr old again and just got my first car.
Kara surprised me towards the end I seriously thought it would be someone else there for Elyse.
Honestly I think every character was well written! I found myself feeling like I can definitely date this person or be best friends with this person or at least relate to them.
My final thought : MOVIE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Linger By Maggie Steifvater
At turns harrowing and euphoric, Linger is a spellbinding love story that explores both sides of love—the light and the dark, the warm and the cold—in a way you will never forget.
First off I love this series !!! even though I like Shiver much better this was still a good read.
It took me a little longer to read linger because I was able to actually put this book down a few times because it almost seemed predictable to me even the ending didn't catch me by surprise.
Isabel surprised me a little I like her in Linger alot better than Shiver .
I honestly don't want to go into more detail since I know Lisa is dying to read this book and she will kill me if I say another word!

JESSICA THERRIEN INTERVIEW !!!!!
Oppression (Children of the Gods #1) by Jessica Therrien
I’ve always loved writing. I wrote stories and poems before I ever set out to write a book, though. I’m not exactly sure when I started writing Oppression, but it took about one to two years.
2.What inspired you to write your first book?
I was inspired by the YA genre itself. I fell in love with the stories and honestly became a YA fanatic. After searching a while for the next “big thing” in YA without finding anything that really grabbed me, I set out to write it myself. I figured I knew what it was I was looking for in a YA book…I might as well just write the dang thing, lol.
3. How did you come up with the title?
The book was originally titled The Descendants. It was good and it fit, but George Clooney basically decided to copy me. He came out with a movie titled The Descendants, so my publisher and I sat down all day to hammer out a new one. When the CEO of ZOVA Books said the word Oppression, it clicked.
4. Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?
Nobody has asked me this yet, so I’m glad you did. I would say the message is that love is very powerful, and no matter where life takes you, love will conquer all.
5.Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?
Much of the book is based on memories from my own life. The love story is inspired by the love between me and my husband. Anna is based on my best friend. The book is very close to me.
6 .If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in the book?
Yes. Haha…but the book industry doesn’t work like that. I’ve recently fallen in love with the first person present POV. I love the way a book reads when written that way. A little secret is that I wrote book 2 completely in first person present just to create that fast-paced flow, and had to go back and change it to past tense to be consistent with book 1. I would have loved to write book 1 in first person present.
7.Do you have any advice for other writers?
My advice is always the same. Go to a writers’ conference. You’ll meet great people, have a lot of fun, and you may even catch a lucky break. I did!
8.Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
Thank you. Your amazing reaction to my book has been the best feeling ever. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!!!

Goddess Interrupted By Aimee Carter
I just received it today and already cant put it down. Makes me want to study mythology.
This book will be released on March 27 2012.
Summary :
WHAT IF IMMORTALITY ISN’ T FOREVER?
KATE WINTERS HAS WON IMMORTALITY.
BUT IF SHE WANTS A LIFE WITH HENRY IN THE UNDERWORLD, SHE’LL HAVE TO FIGHT FOR IT.
Becoming immortal wasn’t supposed to be the easy part. Though Kate is about to be crowned Queen of the Underworld, she’s as isolated as ever. And despite her growing love for Henry, ruler of the Underworld, he’s becoming ever more distant and secretive. Then, in the midst of Kate’s coronation, Henry is abducted by the only being powerful enough to kill him: the King of the Titans.
As the other gods prepare for a war that could end them all, it is up to Kate to save Henry from the depths ofTartarus. But in order to navigate the endless caverns of the Underworld, Kate must enlist the help of the oneperson who is the greatest threat to her future.
Henry’s first wife, Persephone.My thoughts:
First of all thank you Aimee for not using the greek names all the time. I’ve never been interested in greek mythology before so if Aimee always referenced the gods in the book I would be completely lost.AS IM WRITING THIS IM STRUGGLING WITH MYSELF!! I WANT TO WRITE ABOUT THIS BOOK FOREVER BUT I CANT BECAUSE THEN I WOULD SPOIL IT FOR EVERYONE.
This book was intense and I loved every moment. I even for this first time cursed that I had to be up early the next morning because I didn’t want to put it down without finishing it. Last night I didn’t care how long it took or how grumpy I was this morning I was determined to finish the book I started the previous night. Mission Accomplished.
I am grumpy this morning and not because of the lack of sleep because I would pull an all nighter for this book, I was upset because it was over!
=(
Not only was it over but the author added such a cliffhanger for the closing of the book that made me scream. I now await for the release of the 3rd book.
It was easy to relate to every character of this book. For instince Persephone.Every girl has had a sibling that was completely perfect, that could do no wrong and made you feel like you failed in comparison. Henry was every typical guy I ever dated. Hard on the outside but soft in the inside just took EONS to get a glimpse of any kind of emotion.
Trust me you wont be disappointed.Aimee has truly made me become interested in Greek mythology and books relating to it. I will never walk by those books again. It takes a lot to change my mind or my view on things especially types of books I like. My fiancé would be shocked if he knew someone actually changed my persepective on things.

My Reply To Kelly's post on Shiver .
Now as for Robert Pattision playing Edward in the Twilight books its true he is not what I pictured as Edward at first but I have grown to adore him and the role he is playing it’s also true I was one of the first to knock Mr R Pattz I even kept telling everyone he sucked but what I came to realize is Robert is quite a good actor I have watched other movies of his and was impressed. So summing it up Robert can be my Edward any day.
Now on to who I think would be the best choice to Play Sam in the Shiver Books I have 2 choices and here they are the reasons why. 1st choice Sam Wesley as his character on VD he is loyal, honest, gentle and sweet just like Sam is with Grace some of the quality’s Sam has. Now my 2nd choice would be Ian Somerhalder as his character on VD he is rough, aggressive he’s the anti-hero who surprises you every time but he also is the one who will stop at nothing to protect the one he loves just like Sam does with Grace yet again so to sum it up if It was possible to merge these two into one that to me would be the perfect Sam I girl could only dream.(◡‿◡✿)✰Lɪsᴀ
Paul Wesley
Ian Somerhalder
