Review: Strictly Business by Ace Gray

Synopsis
Kate Elliott isn't going to take falling in love lying down.

Kate's life is good by any measure. At 28, she has an incredibly successful company that affords her the couture lifestyle any Manhattan power player would expect. Being surrounded by luxury is almost enough to make the lack of romance in her life bearable. Almost.

When she meets Nicholas Bryant, she’s consumed by desire despite discovering he's her new, savvy, and therefore dangerous, competitor. After a series of hot and cold meetings—where the two compete over who is more hotheaded rather than market share—they succumb to passion in one perfect, electric weekend. But as soon as they resurface, trouble begins brewing that may cost Kate her empire, or worse, her long walled off heart.

Strictly Business is a steamy romance with content suitable for mature audiences.

Rating: 4.5/5 stars!! When I was contacted by this debut author to ask if I would be interested in reviewing her book I reluctantly agreed. Once I read the synopsis I didn't have any high expectations but decided to give it a try. Not to say the synopsis was bad, it just felt like it was lacking something but I dove in regardless. I'm so happy I took a chance on this books cause HOLY SHIT! it blew my mind! Nicolas Bryant is a sexy AF Alpha Male. Kate Elliot is a take no shit kind of woman (my fav) both of them are competitors in their field of business and you would think the were unlikely to ever be a couple. They are both competitive, hard around the edges and literally both of them are consumed in making their business better than the others. Somehow down the line they end up falling for each other while betrayal hung in the air and a whole lot of WTF is happening?? Came out of my mouth. I love how this story took me on a ride until the very end. I literally was trying to play detective the entire time but decided it wasn't my calling since I was pointing fingers at every single damn person in this book! I still can't get some of the sex scenes out of my head and its been days since I finished this story. That red ribbon 😻💦 Damn you Bryant i'll never be able to look at red ribbon the same way ever again! I will literally be a Pervet standing in the aisle of Michael's salivating at the mouth. so if you happen to be there and you see a woman looking like a crazed lunatic foaming at the mouth, that would be me 🙆🏻 Do not come say hello!! I will not be held responsible for my actions if you break me out of my ribbon induced day dream about Nicholas and his very talented hands. Note to my readers this book does have a cliffhanger that has me dying to read the next one! Hurry the fuck up @acekgray I need more! I love how we've built this amazing friendship through the process but I will not hesitate to fly over there myself and hold you hostage until you give me what I need. You have no one to blame when that happens because you brought it upon yourself when you created this monster. I rated this book a 4.5/5 because at times I felt like the character's voice were a bit mature for their age and the term of endearment Bryant used for Kate just made me cringe. Not that there's anything wrong with ''Sweets" I just can't stand it! I really hope that some of the side characters such as Laura,Jaime and Ari get their own books cause I loved them so damn much❤️

Indigo Nights by Louise Bay book review

Synopsis: The only thing better than cake is cake with a side of orgasms.

Dylan James has no expectations when it comes to relationships. He uses women for sex and they use him for his money and power. It’s quid pro quo and he's good with that. It works.

Beth Harrison has been burned. She's tired of the lies and the game playing that men bring and has buried herself in her passion—baking which keeps her out of the reach of heartbreak. As she begins her career as a TV baker, a new world opens up to her.

Dylan and Beth both know that casual sex is all about giving what you need to get what you want.

Except that sometimes you give more than you need to and get everything you ever wanted.

Rating: 5/5 8A Stars!!!

Wow!!!

Where do I even begin?? This book was amazing!! Dylan James is my definition of perfection. He's handsome, charming, witty, rich and damn he has one filthy mouth. I swear I felt like I needed to change my panties on multiple occasions. Im addicted to this sexy billionaire and have added him to the top of my book boyfriend list of 2016.

"I was part thrilled, part infuriated and entirely consumed with a desire to have her naked beneath me."

"I didn’t know where to start with her. I wanted to bite, suck, kiss, lick and fuck all of her all at once. Possession was my aim."

Beth you lucky woman!! Speaking of Beth, I loved her <3 She's a strong woman who over came many obstacles in life and found her love for baking along the way. She was either baking or eating cake throughout this entire story and It rubbed off on me. I swear I gained 5 pounds in the last two days with the amount of cakes and sweets I was consuming while reading this.

Together Beth and Dylan brought out the best in each other and the chemistry between them was off the charts!

I enjoyed every single side character in this book with the exception of Dylan's ex but obviously that was the author's intention. This is a light, steamy, "Insta Love" story which I tend to not be a big fan of but with Louise's writing style I literally ate it up! It consumed me instantly and I did not want it to end. Louise has definitely become an instant one-click for me! I honestly recommend this book, I believe it is a "MUST READ" for all my lovely book sisters!

The Lie by Karina Halle Review

The Lie by Karina Halle
Rating: 3.5/5 "Professor Blue Eyes" stars!

Review:(Kelly) Although the writing was beautiful, I took way too long to finish this book than I normally would. It's not that I didnt have the time to read, its because I literally had to put this book down a bunch of times - simply out of boredom. It wasnt until 50% in that I actually became invested in finding out what happens next. The back and forth between Natasha and Brigs was annoying to me. It just became way too repetitive.

"I love you"
"I love you too, I've never stopped"

Then of course came....

"Im sorry"
"we cant do this, it's not right"

Then the "I love you" and "this feels right" continues all over again! .

Majority of the book consisted of this back and forth between them. (Like I said annoying!)
Im not saying that they didnt have obstacles in their way cause they did and for the record Melissa is just straight cray cray! I have no idea how Natasha never caught on to this when it was so damn obvious! Guess you can say it's apparent she's Naive.

I loved Brigs and his story! It literally broke my heart and I had mad respect for him when he did the right thing at the end of the book. Plus the whole sponge bob thing at the end cracked me up! I guess its safe to say that The Offer is still my favorite in this series.

                                                                                                       Cupcake - Synopsis

From the time I was able to hold a ball, I have lived and breathed football. It controlled every aspect of my life. The game consumed me, that was until I met a sweet feisty blonde, pastry chef named Pippa Montgomery. The moment I laid eyes on her she turned my world upside down. Now all I want is to live and breathe her. Grayson Bennett looks like the all American boy next door, but beneath his sweet charming personality beats the heart of a dirty talking sex god, who with a single touch of his hand turned my boring existence into a wild ride of hot sticky sex. Grayson also gave me the confidence to go after what I really wanted... Him.

They say some love stories are complicated, but our story gets a little sticky.

Soulless by T.M Frazier Excerpt Reveal

Excerpt #1
"I'll deal with you when we get back to the house," Bear snapped, his words loaded with so many different meanings I trembled with both fear and anticipation.
"You're going to deal with me?" I asked. "How are you going to deal with me?" My attitude and confidence faded with each word until the last was merely a whisper.
"Yes, DEAL with you," Bear warned, suddenly pausing to take in my appearance. Slowly, from top to bottom, like he’d only just realized I was standing there. His eyelids hung heavy over his sapphire blues as he licked my body with his eyes, drinking me in like he was thirsty.
No, not thirsty.
Hungry.
When he licked his lips I could have sworn he was about to eat me alive.  I tingled all over.  The awareness of him in such close proximity after so long washed over me.  Angry or not, my body didn’t care.  I didn’t care.  I wanted to reach out and touch his face, reassure him that he had no reason to be angry, but part of me liked that I could draw that kind of reaction from him.  He came alive when he was pissed, and something inside me loved that he became this primal possessive beast out to remind me who it was I belonged to.
Bear clenched his jaw and the muscles in his neck tensed and strained. He looked as if he were ready to either kill or fuck.  All I knew was that, one way or another, I was about to de devoured.
I pressed my thighs together, trying to manage the pulsing between my legs, but the contact only ignited it further. Bear chuckled and glanced down to where my ankles were crossed. He closed the gap between us in two short strides, taking me off guard. I stumbled backward, tripping over a lose rock in the road. he reached out and roughly grabbed my arm before I could fall, pulling me flush into his hard chest. His warm skin radiated through my thin dress. I bit my lip, suppressing a moan. My legs grew weaker and weaker as he lowered his head, inching closer and closer, until I was sure his lips were going to meet mine, when without warning he released my arm and spun away. "Get in the fucking truck, Ti," he called back to me.
I stood there, unable to move, and trying to catch my breath while he headed over to King’s truck like that moment never passed between us. When he noticed I wasn’t behind him he growled and stalked back over to me. He grabbed me by the waist, his fingers digging into my skin.  He lifted me up, my short dress bunching up over my butt cheeks and slung me over his shoulder like I was a rolled up rug.
Wack.
He slapped my ass with his open palm. Hard. The bite of the smack stung where I was sure he’d left his mark. He tossed me into the truck with a caveman grunt and slammed the door behind me.
I was confused as all hell.
I was so angry.
I was also elated.
I was in lust so hard that I was in physical pain.
I was really fucking angry.
I was head over heels in love.
Motherfucker.

Until It's Right by Jamie Howard Review

Until It's Right by Jamie Howard ✨

Release Date: March 1

Rating: 4/5 Clark Kent stars!

Review:(Kelly)
At first I assumed I wasn't going to like this book because within the first 5% of the book I wasn't feeling the story and had to put it down. Then I gave it some time and I picked it back up just in time to see when the texts between Kyle and Haley started. As soon as I got to the first text between them I immediately fell in love! Maybe it was the Superhero references or the way the author wrote a witty comeback wit each new text- either way from the point on I was officially hooked! I could relate so much to Kyle that I started to believe that he was the fictional male version of myself- I kid you not. But then I started to fall in love with him!! I'm not sure what that says about me 😕🙈 but anyhow he was so damn sweet and endearing and I was so captivated by his nerdy character that I kept wanting to virtually slap Haley into realizing what a catch she had. This story was really sweet. I loved how the author made a scenario such as meeting a guy at a bar and messing up when putting his number into your phone and turned into a love story created by fate with someone new. There's not much more that I can say about this book without going into details and writing some major spoilers but I will say that I wish this book was released in February because I think it would have been perfect for all of you to read on Valentine's Day.

On that note, a big thank you to @stmartinspress For providing me an ARC in exchange for a review.
