Synopsis: SOMETIMES THE ONE WHO LOVES YOU IS THE ONE WHO HURTS YOU THE MOST

Lily hasn't always had it easy, but that's never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She's come a long way from the small town in Maine where she grew up - she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily's life suddenly seems almost too good to be true.

Ryle is assertive, stubborn, and maybe even a little arrogant. He's also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily, but Ryle's complete aversion to relationships is disturbing.

As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan - her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.

With this bold and deeply personal novel, Colleen Hoover delivers a heart-wrenching story that breaks exciting new ground for her as a writer. It Ends With Us is an unforgettable tale of love that comes at the ultimate price.

This book contains graphic scenes and very sensitive subject matter.

Rating: 3/5 stars

Review: When I picked up this book I was immediately drawn into the storyline. Colleen has a way of delivering stories that are unique and original- making her a NY Times Bestseller. The beginning of the story captured my heart and I loved everything about the characters, especially Atlas. However, towards the middle of the book I started to become Irate with Lily!! I mean how naive and stupid can one woman be!?! I simply could not understand her reasonings. I mean it when I say she drove me crazy! I wanted to yell and throw my book at the wall on multiple occasions. Yes, I admit I had to step away from this story a couple of times just so I can take a breather and calm down. The emotions that this storyline evoked from me were so overwhelming. Colleen Hoover is one of my favourite authors and it killed me to think about giving up on this one. Im glad I didn't because once I got 80% in I started to see why she did what she did. I went from hating the damn book and wondering where Colleen went wrong to praising her for the genius that she is. A great fiction piece is one that makes you feel deeply while changing your perception of the world and Colleen did just that.

Now time for my naked truth.

Although I was moved by this book and it definitely taught me a lesson in life. I'm with the minority when I say, it just wasn't one of my favorite's by her. Majority of my fellow bloggers adored this book and have even reread it a time or two and I can see why. I commend her for writing something so personal and for taking a huge risk but its not a book I see myself rereading. Sorry, Colleen I still love you though. Even though, I rated it a 3/5 I still recommend this book to everyone because I feel that everyone needs to experience the beauty of this story for themselves.
