Review: Strictly Business by Ace Gray

Synopsis
Kate Elliott isn't going to take falling in love lying down.

Kate's life is good by any measure. At 28, she has an incredibly successful company that affords her the couture lifestyle any Manhattan power player would expect. Being surrounded by luxury is almost enough to make the lack of romance in her life bearable. Almost.

When she meets Nicholas Bryant, she’s consumed by desire despite discovering he's her new, savvy, and therefore dangerous, competitor. After a series of hot and cold meetings—where the two compete over who is more hotheaded rather than market share—they succumb to passion in one perfect, electric weekend. But as soon as they resurface, trouble begins brewing that may cost Kate her empire, or worse, her long walled off heart.

Strictly Business is a steamy romance with content suitable for mature audiences.

Rating: 4.5/5 stars!! When I was contacted by this debut author to ask if I would be interested in reviewing her book I reluctantly agreed. Once I read the synopsis I didn't have any high expectations but decided to give it a try. Not to say the synopsis was bad, it just felt like it was lacking something but I dove in regardless. I'm so happy I took a chance on this books cause HOLY SHIT! it blew my mind! Nicolas Bryant is a sexy AF Alpha Male. Kate Elliot is a take no shit kind of woman (my fav) both of them are competitors in their field of business and you would think the were unlikely to ever be a couple. They are both competitive, hard around the edges and literally both of them are consumed in making their business better than the others. Somehow down the line they end up falling for each other while betrayal hung in the air and a whole lot of WTF is happening?? Came out of my mouth. I love how this story took me on a ride until the very end. I literally was trying to play detective the entire time but decided it wasn't my calling since I was pointing fingers at every single damn person in this book! I still can't get some of the sex scenes out of my head and its been days since I finished this story. That red ribbon 😻💦 Damn you Bryant i'll never be able to look at red ribbon the same way ever again! I will literally be a Pervet standing in the aisle of Michael's salivating at the mouth. so if you happen to be there and you see a woman looking like a crazed lunatic foaming at the mouth, that would be me 🙆🏻 Do not come say hello!! I will not be held responsible for my actions if you break me out of my ribbon induced day dream about Nicholas and his very talented hands. Note to my readers this book does have a cliffhanger that has me dying to read the next one! Hurry the fuck up @acekgray I need more! I love how we've built this amazing friendship through the process but I will not hesitate to fly over there myself and hold you hostage until you give me what I need. You have no one to blame when that happens because you brought it upon yourself when you created this monster. I rated this book a 4.5/5 because at times I felt like the character's voice were a bit mature for their age and the term of endearment Bryant used for Kate just made me cringe. Not that there's anything wrong with ''Sweets" I just can't stand it! I really hope that some of the side characters such as Laura,Jaime and Ari get their own books cause I loved them so damn much❤️
