Waiting On Wednesday #26

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted here, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating. it origins from Breaking The Spine and we're glad to be able to use it

My (Lisa) pick this week is non other than Lauren DeStefano's newest book baby which she is still in the works of writing and editing and let me tell you if you where a huge fan of The Chemical Garden Trilogy you so know The Internment Chronicles is going to be amazing.

Expected publication: October 22nd 2013 by Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers

Perfect Ruin (Internment Chronicles, #1)On Internment, the floating island in the clouds where 16-year-old Morgan Stockhour lives, getting too close to the edge can lead to madness. Even though Morgan's older brother, Lex, was a Jumper, Morgan vows never to end up like him. She tries her best not to mind that her life is orderly and boring, and if she ever wonders about the ground, and why it is forbidden, she takes solace in best friend Pen and her betrothed, Basil.

Then a murder, the first in a generation, rocks the city. With whispers swirling and fear on the wind, Morgan can no longer stop herself from investigating, especially when she meets Judas. He is the boy being blamed for the murder — betrothed to the victim — but Morgan is convinced of his innocence. Secrets lay at the heart of Internment, but nothing can prepare Morgan for what she will find — or who she will lose.

  1. I haven't heard of this before. It looks awesome. I just wonder if it's still being edited, if it will come out in time.

  2. So I have heard of this but have some reservations. I LOVED Wither by Lauren DeStefano but ended up disappointed in Fever and Sever. This sounds like such an original story that I am intrigued but I might hold out until I read a few reviews to make sure it is executed well.

    1. I loved Wither & Sever Fever was good. But I Iove Lauren's writing style and this does sound so original. Which you so know I have to read it.
