On the evening of Sofia Claremont's seventeenth birthday, she is sucked into a nightmare from which she cannot wake.

She is kidnapped to an island where the sun is eternally forbidden to shine.

An island uncharted by any map and ruled by the most powerful vampire coven on the planet. She wakes here as a slave, a captive in chains.

Sofia's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn when she is the one selected out of hundreds of girls to join the harem of Derek Novak, the dark royal Prince.
Despite his addiction to power and obsessive thirst for her blood, Sofia soon realizes that the safest place on the island is within his quarters, and she must do all within her power to win him over if she is to survive even one more night.

Will she succeed? ...or is she destined to the same fate that all other girls have met at the hands of the Novaks?

I would like to thank Bella Forrest for contacting me to read her book in exchange for my honest review.

My Review:

Ok let me start by saying for a shore start by saying for a quick read t read this book packed quite a punch the author  Bella Forrest really drags you in this whole vampire world she built is Ah-amazing!!! It was so detail oriented heck I thought I was part of the book. Maybe it was because I’m an avid vampire fan (Hmm I think it might have had something to do with it.)

I love how it went back and forth between Sofia and Derek’s point-of-view, it made me appreciate their relationship more it wasn't that bang we’re in love it developed over time .The one thing I found kind of funny was how Derek reacted to how the world was 500 years later after he had awoken it was a transition for him I tell ya! And I liked that he didn't view humans as his family did he took it upon himself to form his own opinion.

Another strong element in the book for me was Derek & his sister Vivienne they had a solid relationship they had each other’s back heck they were the only two in their family to do so I think I felt it more cause that the kind of relationship I have with my brother heck look at me getting all sentimental...lol  But Vivienne has more to her than meets the eye but I’m not going to spoil it cause that would be no fun.

My Final Thoughts:
I really adore the new cover compared to the old one me being a cover whore and all also the whole twist/cliff-hanger at the end made me GASP!!! I can’t wait for book two. Bella Forrest is a writer who nailed it right on the head with her book  A Shade of Vampire with that being said you need to go out and get yourself a copy it won’t disappoint .
