On Saturday November 3rd 2012 us The BookMarkBelles Lisa & Kelly got to attend the 2nd annual Ontario Blog Squad meet up! What is The Ontario Blog Squad meet up you ask?? Well its a an event were anyone who is an avid Blogger/ Book Reader can get together and talk books there were a total of 70 bloggers at this years event and it took place at The Watermark Irish Pub on The Downtown Toronto Waterfront and was hosted by the lovely women from the Ontario Blog Squad Jen @ Lost in the Library,Nicole About Town,Angel @ Mermaid Vision Books,Christa @ Hooked on Books, Wendy @ A Cupcake and a Latte Michele @ Just A Lil' Lost & Liz @ Midnight Bloom Reads let us tell you these amazing ladies sure know how to throw an event!
They had lined up 9 amazing Authors & A few Publishing gurus The authors in attendance were Lesley Livingston, Allison Baggio, Brian Francis,Grace O'Connell, Susin Nielsen, Elizabeth Miles, Maureen McGowen, Joanne Levy, and Cinda Williams Chima.The Publishers in attendance were Lindsey from Random House Canada, Pamela from Tundra Books / Random House Canada, Vikki and Shannon from Harper Collins Canada, Michelle from Simon & Schuster Canada and Amy from Penguin Canada with all these amazing people under one roof you so know that the quiet bookworms would be non-existent well at least for today!

The event started at 1pm & all the friendly chatter & excitement in everyone's voices could be heard from the lobby it made anyone who entering the venue for the event über excited well I know it made me (Lisa) We were greeted at the door by Angel & Michele who scanned everyone's tickets along with handing us our name tags Ohhh!! and we also we got a goodie at the door an amazing swag bag filled with goodies oh how amazing they were let me tell you Kelly & I jumped with excitement when we found Sever By: Laura De Stefano in our bag!!!.
Then we where off to find our seats too settle in and mingle among the crowd of other wonderful bloggers it was amazing to put some faces to all the twitter handles and blogs we comment on daily which was awesome!!! We sat at our table with fellow bloggers Chrystal @snowdropdreams (Who is also an avid Buffy Fan Ya!) Penelope Plessa @TheReadingDevil Hayley @TheFableFaerie and author Joanne Levy (Small Medium at Large)<---- she totally rocked !!! Our whole table was awesome we all gushed over which Tv shows we loved and books we liked The Vampire Diaries was a big hit at our table =)
Then it was time for lunch and it was awesome I got the grilled chicken and Kelly got the fish and chips then we split with each other so we got to taste what the other had! after lunch there was trivia and at our table Kelly won a copy of The Diviners by: Libba Bray (so jealous) Then Nicole came around with a box of books for everyone to choose from which was awesome there was a raffle at the end and Kelly won prizes from there also boo! I won nothing but my swag bag made up for it along with all the other great books I got from other bloggers who had hosted giveaways .

While mingling some more after lunch we got to meet all the authors and get our books signed Lesley Livingston was just happening to read my tweet(Lisa) I sent her when I met her which was amazing she gave me a great big hug and we chatted a bit Kelly worked her way around the room making sure everyone got our business cards (perfect way of keeping in touch)
Then we both met Elizabeth Miles everyone at the event also got copy of her 2nd book Envy from the Fury Trilogy which was so sweet of her publishers to do so. Then Susin Nielson came over to chat and sign her book for us . Before the event ended Lesley Livingston thanked all the bloggers for doing amazing jobs reading and reviewing books man is she a hoot at 4:30pm it was time to close shop for us bloggers but many of us refused to leave ...lol we stayed behind to mingle until we were kicked out...lol (kidding) for us at BookMark Belles it was one of the most amazing days which will talk about forever yep it was that epic! that I rambled on for about a good while as you can tell by my post...lol Kelly & I are so looking forward too next years event so keep your eyes posted or drop by and say hello if you were one of the few we missed at the event we would love to hear from you.
